Overview :
Oversees the implementation of a Project Quality Plan, satisfying project specifications and CBI procedures and ensures that all work is executed in compliance with that plan.
To ensure welded products are produced to the correct level of quality as required by the project quality plan.
Responsibilities :
- To ensure that the welding and NDE standards are met.
- To review contract drawings and specifications to ensure the fabricated items are constructed to the drawings and specifications.
- To supervisor welders ensuring that the appropriate welding procedure specifications are utilised.
- To ensure the correct welding materials consumables for each job are as used as per the weld sheets.
- To supervise control, handling and issue of welding materials.
- To supervise performance of welding procedure qualifications, welder qualifications and production test plates (if applicable).
- To ensure that all welders follow the parameters set out in the welding procedure, through verbal instructions and physical demonstrations of the welding techniques required.
- To submit final report and checklist to the QC Manager at the completion of fabrication (when applicable).
- To submit weekly, a detailed quality control report to the QA Manager.
- To record required traceability records.
- To issue documentation progressively for compilation of MDR.
- To ensure safe working practices and conditions in the workshop.
- Ensure completeness of inspection check lists.
- Perform visual, dimensional and hydrostatic tests and post weld heat treatments as required and signing off of such inspections.
- Perform inspections as per the ITP.
- Co-ordinate the compilation of records for Manufacturers Data Reports.
- Identification of non-conformances. Processing Non-Conformance Reports ensuring implementation of the agreed solutions.
- Co-ordination of Inspection, Site Q.C. reporting & distribution of reports to relevant Project, QC Inspectors & other CBI personnel.
- Determine handling, storage, packing and delivery requirements for all products, including purchaser supplied products.
- Control all inspecting, measuring, and testing equipment, other than survey equipment.
- Sign-off witness points as required by I.T.Ps.
- Co-ordination of Quality Control activities with Manufacturing / Construction personnel to ensure all contract requirements are met.
- Liaise with customers inspection personnel.
- Essure welding processes conform to specification and are carried out by qualified personnel.
- Ensure completeness of Inspection Check Lists.
- Actively participate in CBIs Value Awareness Program. Encourage all employees to participate.
- Ensure that employees are appropriately trained in how to perform their job in a safe manner. Ensure that employees are provided with a safe work environment.
- Show high regard for personal safety and safety of workmates, ensure work area is free of hazards.
- Actively participate in CBI Continuous Improvement Programs and other programs which support achievement of Company and project goals.
