Position Summary:

CB’s Premium Nuts, Inc., a successful family company in Kingston, Washington has an immediate need for a Food Production Lead. The Production Lead is responsible for coordinating and collaborating with coworkers to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency of food production. The Production Lead must be able to train and develop members of their team and produce according to the production schedule. We are looking for people who are enthusiastic about nuts and peanut butter and want to join our dedicated team at CB’s Nuts in producing healthy, flavorful, quality nut products. We are a locally owned company with a family friendly culture.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Communicate effectively with teammates, supervisors and across departments to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency of operations.
  • Build positive work environment and culture.
  • Operate food production equipment (i.e., depositor, sealer, bagger, coder forklift, etc.) in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure manufacturing and processing staff wear appropriate sanitary and protective gear to ensure health and safety.
  • Set production objectives and implement action plans for achieving set targets.
  • Adjust production schedules as needed and communicate changes to management and other departments.
  • Coordinate teammates' efforts to ensure efficiency in start-up, clean up, change over, and shut down of operating equipment.
  • Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new hires.
  • Accurately maintain all production records and logs and accountability for personnel.
  • Ensure products and raw materials are stored properly at optimum conditions.
  • Lead and participate in safety team meetings and activities and enforce safety requirements.

· Follow all company food quality, sanitation, safety and security policies and procedures.

  • High level of personal initiative, self-driven, action and results oriented.
  • Must have good organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize assigned work to achieve results.
  • Able to effectively coach and train employees and manage task performance of others.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Able to navigate basic computer programs.
  • Demonstrate dependability, strong work ethic and personal integrity/honesty.
  • Able to take direction from Direct Supervisor and Executive Management and have a willingness to learn and work as a team.
  • Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices.

Physical Demands:

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Effectively operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer and computer printer.
  • Able to stand, bend and stoop as needed for extended periods of time.
  • Able to lift and move product and objects comfortably weighing up to 50 lbs. throughout the production facility, warehouse, and storage.

Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent with 1 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
