A day in the life as a Visual Merchant
- Coordinate the execution of store displays, window changes, and all other aspects of visual merchandising
- Detail the store floor plan in coordination with the Area Visual Merchant
- Create and execute the weekly merchandising plan
- Accountable for accurate display maintenance to support operational processes and accurate customer information
- Conduct and/or facilitate weekly merchandising walk-throughs of the sales floor with management staff and appropriate sales associates
- Partner with the store manager to achieve store and company sales goals and work effectively with all other store and company associates in order to meet these goals
- Maintain an awareness of all product information, intranet communications, current advertising, promotions and catalogues, and communicate all pertinent information to store associates
- Promote and drive sales through effective associate training and development, customer service and satisfaction, fiscal responsibility and inventory control
- Evaluate and analyze the success of the merchandise plan with regard to sales and coordinate the implementation of changes, as needed
- Provide specific feedback about performance directly to associates, as well as, share observations with the store manager
- Strong understanding of the CB2 visual merchandising concepts and the ability to use them effectively and creatively
- Knowledgeable on how visual merchandising impacts sales and ability to analyze available reporting tools
- Ability to effectively communicate and problem solve
- Knowledgeable on Point of Sale (POS) system, computer and printer, Google Suite, company email system, telephone/intercom system, copier, fax machine, SKU and tagger guns, tape machine, small hand tools, ladders, stepstools, hand truck/dolly, baler, Datasign system, Basecamp system
- Good reading and written language skills (English), basic arithmetic, interpersonal skills, telephone presence, data entry skills, organizational skills, problem solving skills
- Ability to maintain a safe working environment
- 3 years customer service or retail leadership experience preferred
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent; Associate degree or equivalent preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Google applications, computer systems and tablet devices
