Audio Visual Systems Programmer – Hybrid
This position involves programming, development, testing, and implementation of advanced audiovisual control systems. You will work primarily with Crestron, Extron, QSC, and various DSP manufacturers code to create tailored solutions for our clients in both corporate and commercial environments. Your role will also include shop testing, equipment fabrication, site support, debugging, and service calls as needed.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Programming and Development:
• Write, develop, and test Crestron control code and user interfaces (UI).
• Develop Extron and QSC control systems and audio solutions.
• Program various Digital Signal Processors (DSP) to optimize audio performance.
• Testing and Quality Assurance:
• Conduct thorough testing of systems in the shop prior to deployment.
• Work with Project Team on UI submittals and revisions as part of the project process.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with AV systems and code.
• Site-Support and Debugging:
• Provide on-site support and debugging for AV installations as required.
• Collaborate with Field Engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.
• Equipment Fabrication:
• Assist in the fabrication and assembly of custom AV racks and equipment enclosures as needed.
• Service and Maintenance:
• Respond to service calls and provide technical support for existing AV systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and updates on installed systems as required
Required Skills:
• Education:
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Audio/Visual Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in audiovisual programming and integration.
• Proven experience with Crestron, Extron, QSC, and DSP programming.
• Certifications:
• Crestron Certified Programmer (or equivalent certification/experience).
• Extron Control Specialist (ECS) certification is a plus.
• Biamp Tesira, Bose Professional
• QSC Q-SYS certification or experience is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong understanding of AV system design and integration.
• Proficiency in coding languages relevant to AV systems (e.g., SIMPL, C#, JavaScript).
• Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols related to AV systems.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Additional Duties:
• Stay updated with the latest AV technologies and trends.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs.
