Summary
The IT Solutions & Delivery Engineer plays a crucial role in achieving cb20's business goals by contributing equally to solutioning and project delivery. This involves collaborating with the Solutioning team to define project scope, estimate costs, and create bills of materials, while also actively participating in project execution as a project engineer alongside the skilled Project Management Office. This position demands exceptional architectural, written, and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong technical expertise encompassing installation, service, ongoing support, problem resolution, and seamless coordination with other cb20 departments, divisions, and subsidiaries. Pre-Sales support responsibilities include delivering technical presentations to clients, providing expert consultation, gathering requirements, and designing solutions.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Solutioning team to define project scope, estimate costs, and develop bills of materials. Contribute to Pre-Sales activities, including customer presentations, technical consultations, and requirements gathering.
Actively participate in the project lifecycle as a project engineer, working alongside the Project Management Office to ensure successful project execution.
Manage VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts, virtual machines, and resource allocation. Implement and maintain Veeam Backup and Replication for disaster recovery and data protection.
Manage and migrate workloads to Microsoft Azure. Manage and migrate Microsoft 365 environments, including email, collaboration, and security.
Manage, implement, and migrate Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft Exchange Server environments. Administer Active Directory, including user accounts, groups, and security policies. Implement and manage Microsoft Clustering Technologies. Perform server hardening and patching procedures.
Manage and maintain HPE Nimble / Alletra, Pure Storage, and other storage systems.
Manage and maintain Meraki wireless and switching infrastructure.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans, as well as participate in disaster recovery testing and drills.
Plan and execute physical to virtual server migrations.
Document all system configurations and procedures.
Provide technical support to end-users and other IT staff. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues promptly and efficiently.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
7 years of experience in IT Systems Administration.
Experience with networking technologies, such as routing, switching, and firewalls.
Strong understanding of IT security best practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Bonus Points
Experience with Datto Backup Appliances.
Experience with Cisco and Dell servers.
Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python).
Industry certifications (e.g., MCSE, VCP, AWS / Azure certifications).
