Crystal Bridges is a museum of American art located in Bentonville, Arkansas. We explore the unfolding story of America by actively collecting, exhibiting, interpreting, and preserving outstanding works that illuminate the American heritage and artistic possibilities. Founded by Alice Walton in 2005, the museum opened in 2011 and is a public, non-profit charitable organization with free admission.
The Momentary is a new contemporary art space that opened to the public on February 22, 2020, in downtown Bentonville, Arkansas. A satellite to Crystal Bridges, the Momentary presents visual, performing, and culinary arts. The mission of the Momentary is to champion contemporary art’s role in everyday life and explore the unfolding story of contemporary American arts in an international context by actively commissioning and exhibiting outstanding works that explore new ideas and inspire action.
Position Summary:
The Guest Experience Concierge strives to create a positive Guest Experience for all Museum guests, employees, volunteers, and service providers. This position must be flexible while welcoming and coordinating unexpected guests or events. They must always maintain the utmost confidentiality and professionalism and can remain calm and graceful in all situations. This role requires the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and skilled at multi-tasking. This role is a part of the Call Center Guest Experience Team supporting Crystal Bridges, The Momentary and the entire eco-system so it is imperative that they stay updated on all events, performances, exhibitions, and programming.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to all guests, employees, volunteers and service providers.
- Interact directly with Museum guests in the library and lobby areas.
- Relay information about current and future exhibitions, events and programs to Museum guests.
- Has a solid understanding of the Museum organization and procedures.
- Stay informed and be able to speak easily with guests about museum happenings.
- Works daily with Security regarding guests scheduled to arrive at the Administrative entrance door.
- Maintain an atmosphere in the Library that is subdued and respectful of the space.
- Monitor the admin entry area and Board Room, keeping both areas clean and orderly.
- React quickly and appropriately to any situation that requires immediate attention.
- Answer incoming calls quickly, efficiently and transfer to the appropriate party. Take accurate messages and provide to appropriate party.
- Retrieves administrative mail daily and has it ready for pick-up.
- Monitor the Administration Door in compliance with security procedures.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Attend all necessary staff meetings and communicate concerns as well as solutions to problems.
- Complete all other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibility and skills required for the job.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education, Training, and Traits:
- High School Diploma or GED and similar experience required; Associate’s degree from an accredited institute of higher learning preferred
- Enthusiasm about being a team member of a dynamic eco-system including Crystal Bridges, The Momentary, Whole Health Institute, Art Bridges and others with a strong visitor-centered community philosophy.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Ability to be patient and flexible while also staying energized and focused on providing an excellent guest experience.

- Good command of general computer applications and phone skills.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of two years of experience in guest service or related industry preferred.
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced, high-profile office setting.

- Physical demands: Position requires working in Momentary Galleries for prolonged periods of time. This position requires standing, walking and climbing stairs, bending and stretching, and physical stamina to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted. Position requires utilizing a computer for prolonged periods of time with good eye/hand coordination. This position requires visual acuity to review written materials is required for this job
- Work Environment: The majority of work will be performed in Momentary and Crystal Bridges spaces with some outdoor assignments, as needed. Additionally, Strong communication skills and ability to interact politely and effectively with a wide range of Momentary members, visitors, volunteers and staff.
- Position requires ongoing flexibility in work hours due to events, staffing needs and other factors.
