Heavy lifting, system assembly and operating equipment is required at times.

Development of the 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawing of new products.

  • Test and evaluate materials and components in simulated extreme environmental and operational conditions.
  • Numerical Modeling and Analysis / Computer Simulation (e.g., Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
  • Empirical experimentation (stress / strain analysis, environmental chamber experimentation)
  • Test and evaluate structure and rotor using numerical and empirical methods (FEA, CFD, wind tunnel and environmental chamber).
  • Numerical Modeling and Analysis / Computer Simulation (e.g., Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) / Aeroelastic Analysis)
  • Wind tunnel experimentation
  • Research the behavior of various suspended particulate matter across various climate scenarios (humidity, snow / sleet, sand, wind driven projectiles) and perform non recurring engineering to optimize performance of air flow surfaces of system.
  • Wind tunnel and impact chamber experimentation to model the behavior of suspended particulate matter and wind driven projectiles;
  • Utilize a systematic, iterative design of air surfaces to optimize their flow though the system.
  • Test and evaluate enhanced / ruggedized turbine in end-user environment including deployment, integration, and performance requirements.
  • Full scale in-situ test at end user location
  • Ship full scale system to end user location within CONEX box and assembly of full scale system to demonstrate transport, deployment and integration capabilities at end user location.
  • Performance testing per ANSI/ACP 101-1 and UL 6142.
  • Full scale in-situ test at end user location to measure deflection and vibration when compared to wind speed and temperature.
  • Full scale in-situ test at end user location to measure the accumulation of particulates (snow / sleet) when compared to ambient weather conditions.
  • Determine alternatives to verify structural performance and improve power production performance through numerical modeling (e.g. FEA, CFD) and wind tunnel experimentation
  • Assisting the CTO with the evaluation of Battery Storage technologies.
