What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Superintendent position at CBG Building Company?

Responsibilities:
- Initiate CBG safety protocols and ensure that all CBG safety standards are observed at all times, including OSHA, HAZCOM, NFPA and other applicable Federal, State and Local regulations and standards.
- Gain/maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of the project scope and its intent.
- Create, and maintain a Primavera P-6 generated baseline schedule that defines the critical path and shows completion of project according to contract completion dates and building turnover sequence.
- Provide leadership and on-the-job training opportunities for a team including Assistant Superintendents and Project Engineers Encourage and participate in staff training and development.
- Maintain an up-to-date set of as-built set of plans for the project and ensure the completion of as-built plans by subcontractors.
- Prepare, maintain and amend as required the project site utilization plan for temporary facilities, MOT/TCP coordination, material and equipment movement, and material and equipment staging and site access.
- Perform preconstruction surveys by documenting existing conditions prior to the start of any work at the site.
- Serve as the point of contact on-site for the owner, consultants, subcontractors, and inspection agencies.
- Manage all subcontractor work on a project including work put in place, submittals, punchlist items, schedules and safety audits.
- Work hand in hand with project management on maintaining budget and understanding site impacts that have cost implications to the project.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
- Must be able to safely navigate a construction project site including walking on uneven surfaces, climbing stairs and ladders, and working at heights.
- This position regularly works on-site at a construction job site where the employee is exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to loud.
Experience and Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of construction workeragement experience in a lead field supervisory role.
- Experience working in a multi-family environment preferred.
- Undergraduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction workeragement or a related discipline preferred but not required.
- OSHA 30 and CPR/First Aid training certifications preferred, but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team, as well as direct and manage the work of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ability to effectively work in both sector specific software such as Procore or Bluebeam, Primavera P-6, as well as experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Must be able to work weekends and evenings as needed.
- Must be able to travel locally to project sites as needed.
