What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at CBIZ?
CBIZ is seeking a Senior Accountant for our Port Washington, NY client. Ideal candidates must have experience working with inventory and multiple entities within an organization. End to end accounting activities. Wholesale experience a plus. Modern corporate office.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Accounting for multiple companies
- Month end close including account reconciliations
- Monthly financials with financial analysis of all accounts
- Forecasting and budgeting
- Sales tax filings
- External audit liaison
- Process improvement
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; MBA/CPA a plus
- 8 years of experience in accounting; with well rounded accounting experience covering all areas below for a product/inventory oriented business.
- Cost Accounting experience highly preferred
- Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like ERP system, Microsoft 365QuickBooks, T&E systems, share point and Microsoft Teams
- **Advanced MS Excel skills including Formulas, V-lookup and pivot tables, macros an IF statements a plus
Salary: $90K-$120K DOE. Excellent benefits.
Hours: 9am-5pm. Hybrid role!
