What will I be doing?
Assist with planning, execution and delivery of complex audit engagements within the not-for-profit sector. Test complex audit areas and reviews/completes the applicable audit programs. Assist with the implementation of new accounting pronouncements such as ASC 842 and ASC 326. Lead audit processes including reviewing planning and risk assessment materials, audit test work, financial reports and statements/engagement budgets utilizing CCH ProSystem fx Engagement.
This position may supervise 1 -2 subordinate employees (Staff). This position may require travel to client sites in the DC metro area on an as-needed basis.
Requirements:
Master's degree in Accountancy or related and two (2) years of experience as auditor, finance associate, or related.
Must have experience with: leading/supervising complex audit areas including contribution revenue, program service revenue, pledges and accounts receivable, allowance for credit losses, functional expense allocations, net assets, and OMB compliance testing for not-for-profit clients; performing a single audit under the uniform guidance compliance; analyzing client's internal control and identifying any deficiencies; and preparing financial statements for non-for-profit clients. Must be eligible for or have passed U.S. CPA exam.
Compensation
The annual salary target for this job in this market is $80,000.00- $90,000.00. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on education, experience and skill set of the individual selected for this position. The compensation above is not representative of an employee's total compensation.
