Summary :
Data Center Installer to join our dedicated team supporting our client’s critical DCIM operations across multiple data centers in a 55-mile radius of Branchburg, NJ. This is a full-time night shift position requiring flexibility, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities :
- Equipment Installation and Decommissioning : Perform precise installation and decommissioning of various data center equipment, including servers, storage devices, and networking components.
- Hardware Maintenance : Execute hardware maintenance tasks such as card swaps, upgrades, and replacements.
- Moves, Adds, and Changes (MACs) : Efficiently manage MAC requests, including physical and logical changes to network and server infrastructure.
- Port Assignment : Accurately assign ports to devices and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Power and Cabling : Work with power distribution units (PDUs), fiber optic cables, copper cabling, and patch panels to ensure optimal network performance.
- Cable Labeling : Create and apply accurate labels to cables and equipment.
- Cable Installation : Install various types of cables, including fiber optic and copper, adhering to industry standards and color codes.
- RJ45 Termination : Terminate RJ45 connectors on cables to ensure reliable network connections.
- Problem Solving : Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all work performed.
- Adherence to Standards : Strictly adhere to data center standards, procedures, and security protocols.
- Travel : Ability to periodically travel throughout NJ to multiple sites.
- Nights : 100% night work.
Qualifications :
Shift : Sunday - Friday, 10 : 00 PM - 6 : 00 AM
