Telecommunications Field Technician

OVERVIEW:

CBN Rochester LLC is a local Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) looking to hire experienced/professional installation and repair field technicians to be part of our growing operation! Be part of a growing organization bridging the digital divide in Rochester by bringing affordable internet to families throughout the City. We service the City of Rochester as well as all of the surrounding communities.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Working in teams to determine and install the appropriate placement of wireless broadband equipment and overall layout of Wi-Fi system based on customers objectives/needs

• Perform work in buildings, roofs, attics, basements and crawl spaces that could involve bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, etc.

• Assist and Educate customers with set up, features and functionality of services

• Complete detailed activity logs and other reports/documentation

• Managing your day by determining what equipment and tools are needed to complete each day's jobs

• Ensuring proper site operation; inspecting cable and electrical equipment

• Uses and/or wears appropriate safety equipment and follows established safety

practices and procedures

• Proficiently operate bucket trucks independently and use all tools required to complete the job including but not limited to hand tools, power tools, computers, etc.

• Representing the company professionally, maintaining a positive attitude, a clean work area, and respectful interactions at all times

REQUIREMENTS:

• Problem-Solving: A knack for solving complex issues for a diverse customer base

• Determination: Ready for any challenge, including crawling into small spaces and working in varying climates/weather conditions; this includes roofs and crawl spaces without the comfort of air-conditioning

• Adaptability: Comfortable working in an environment that appreciates agility and determination

• Physical Requirements: Capable of standing on ladders or in bucket (up to 40 feet) for extended periods, lifting over 70 lbs., and remaining within the individual weight limit requirements of 300 lbs.

• Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Flexibility: Willingness to travel as needed; flexible to work shifts that might include evenings, weekends, or holidays
