About the Role
As a CBRE Data Center Sr. Manager, you will oversee a team responsible for providing expert preventative maintenance and repair services to a large Data Center client.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide formal supervision to employees.
- Monitor the training and development of staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
- Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Coordinating and managing the team's daily activities.
- Establishing work schedules, assigning tasks, and cross-training staff.
- Mentorship and coaching as needed.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for the client while working with key stakeholders to meet all MSA requirements.
You will be responsible for:
- Confirming completion of configuration management, work orders, preventative maintenance, and repairs within the agreed SLA timeframe.
- Resolving unforeseen circumstances that occur and informing the client or executive management when needed.
- Verifying facility infrastructure equipment installations are within the agreed SLA timeframe.
- Overseeing Information Technology equipment power installations, relocation, and decommission requests.
You will also:
- Check daily routine cleanup of the data halls and review findings.
- Present an overview to the client and manager as needed.
- Confirm all advanced deployments are installed to applicable internal, manufacturer, and industry standards.
- Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments and present to executive management.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience.
- In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention.
- Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
- Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job subject area, multiple job fields, and department.
