What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Project Manager - Construction position at CBRE?
The purpose of the Associate Project Manager is to support a team of project managers with industrial construction projects across the Gulf Coast region, ensuring the achievement of established client and internal strategic business objectives. The ideal candidate will be collaborating and supporting in the delivery of safety stewardship, scope, budget, schedule, and quality and risk management.
Job Location: Baytown, TX (Must be within driving distance of Baytown, TX to be considered for this job.)
What you’ll do!
Conducts periodic site visits to support all aspects of the progress of construction and coordinates the status of work completed during the period covered in accordance with the client safety program.
Leads all facets of project and program management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality & risk) for multi-asset facility projects
Coordinating asset assessment/replacements for HVAC, roofing replacements, and roadway assessments. These projects are within industrial sites that include planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
Will demonstrate the ability to read, understand and apply standards to intricate documents affecting real estate projects, including but not limited to agreements/contracts, leases, work letters, project charters, surveys, and drawings.
Supports construction and renovation projects and ensures detailed staff understands and implements safety requirements, operations, policies, and procedures.
Supports regional project reports, stewards account-specific Key Performance Indicators, and promotes overall program improvements. Performs training and ongoing mentoring for junior-level staff.
Will build close relationships with clients to ensure projects are being delivered against established expectations and to explore/implement opportunities for program improvements.
Will be reading, understanding, and applying standards to moderately elaborate documents that may include agreements, contracts, leases, project charters, work letters, drawings, and surveys.
Supports standard requests for proposals; completes bid analysis; recommends resources to clients.
Implements communication plan for meetings and written reports/meeting minutes to keep client and project resources briefed.
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS/BEng/BArch) or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree.- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a support role for industrial or oil & gas construction projects.
- Experience in oil and gas or similar industry with strong safety programs preferred.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary : $80,200 - $102,000
