About the role
CBS ACT Center, LLC is seeking a highly motivated individual to provide home and community-based services such as integrated treatment and support services to our recipients in Caddo, Bossier, and the surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
· Provides intensive, community-based mental health services to individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses
· Provides individual intervention/supportive counseling
· Provides integrated treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to ACT recipients

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour
Candidate requirements
· Interview’s the recipient to obtain information concerning mental health history or other pertinent information.
· Observes recipient to detect indications of abnormal mental behavior.
· Assists the LMHP in administering therapeutic treatment, such as behavior modification and stress management therapy to assist recipient in controlling disorders and problems.
· Discusses progress toward goals with recipient, such as but not limited to anger management, stress, depression, social skills, and independent living skills.
· Consults with psychiatrist and/or LMHP concerning treatment plan and amends plan as directed.
· Collaborate with other professionals providing services with the assigned recipient.
· Refers recipients to supportive services to supplement treatment and counseling.
· Monitors recipient’s behavior in the home and community settings.
· Link’s recipients and their families with community resources that can be of benefit.
· Provides crisis intervention in collaboration efforts with the LMHP and other assigned staff.
· Regulates content of skills training in accordance with recipient’s capabilities, needs, and interests.
Education and/or Requirements
· Have a minimum of a master’s degree from an accredited university or college in the field of counseling, social work, psychology or sociology.
· Has a minimum of 15 hours of graduate level course work and/or practicum experience in applied intervention strategies, methods to address behavioral and/or emotional and/or mental problems. These hours may be obtained as part of or in addition to the master’s degree.
