National Cleaning company seeking reliable candidate with experience for Part Janitorial/Supervisor role to cover -Indiana and Southern Illinois.
Responsibilities
- Working 4 hrs a day cleaning
- 4 hours Supervision
- Vacuuming
- Edging
- Dusting
- Cleaning and stocking restrooms and breakrooms
- Window cleaning
- Emptying trash and transporting to proper disposal area
- Sweeping and mopping floors
- May perform other duties as assigned
- Maintain safety procedures by handling cleaning equipment and supplies according to company protocol
- Oversee multiple buildings in Ilinois and Indiana
- Perform Bi-Monthly inspections on all Buildings
- Training and monitoring the Janitorial staff to ensure an orderly, safe, and efficient cleaning operation
- Responsible for hiring for all locations
- Scheduling shifts, work hours, and payroll for the crew members
- Communicate with client as needed
- Documenting and managing contract performance based on key performance indicators
- Ordering, stocking, and replenishing supplies, tools, and equipment
- Demonstrating and documenting continuous improvements for assigned operations and staff
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
- Proven working experience as a Supervisor
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- High school diploma or GED required
- Preference of minimum of two years’ experience as a commercial cleaner
- Preference of minimum of one year in a supervisory, leading, or managing role
- Preference Bi-Lingual (Both English and Spanish speaking)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully in accordance with local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must possess a vehicle for travel (mileage will be reimburses if used professionally)
