Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
- Buff and polish floors to maintain their appearance and longevity.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas regularly.
- Maintain cleanliness in both commercial and residential settings as needed.
- Assist with custodial duties such as emptying trash bins and recycling containers.
- Conduct basic facilities maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality of the space.
- Support industrial cleaning efforts by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained.
Experience
- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial services is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and equipment is a plus.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing is advantageous.
- Experience in residential painting or facilities maintenance can enhance your candidacy.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining clean environments are essential qualities for success in this role.
