Hiring Salary Range: $125,000.00 - 138,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. Responsibilities:
- Develop and pitch original story ideas.
- Conduct research and vet potential stories.
- Coordinate shoots, including travel and logistics.
- Oversee field production and work closely with crews.
- Write, structure, and guide the editing of segments.
- Manage production budgets and resources.
- Ensure legal, rights and clearance requirements are met.
- Deliver high-quality segments under tight deadlines.
- Proven experience producing and writing both short- and long-form segments.
- Background in both hard news and feature storytelling.
- Expertise in field production and working with camera crews.
- Exceptional editorial judgment and storytelling abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Willingness to travel and work an adaptable schedule, including some weekends and holidays.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Superior organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
- Experience in a high-profile, fast-paced news environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and build positive working relationships.
