The Regional Sales Manager coordinates and oversees all day-to-day operations of the selling floor, balances workloads, creates a proactive selling environment, monitors account performances and identifies selling opportunities in conjunction with the account manager, and implements standard operating procedures across all specialties to assure a consistent, professional level of performance which will provide a high level and exceptional customer experience. This position will manage CBT's southern region, managing and traveling between the Lexington and Louisville, Kentucky locations.

Responsibilities:
- Understanding the vision, mission, values, goals, and objectives of the family stakeholders.
- Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the companys sales, margin, and profitability goals
- Create a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement.
- Manage the regional sales teams to deliver profitable growth.
- Hire, develop, train, and coach the sales team.
- Develop and monitor account manager account portfolios, account plans, sales funnel management and other key performance indicators.
- Develop and monitor inside sales key performance measures and hold inside sales regional managers accountable for results.
- Provide meaningful and timely performance reviews for direct reports and make recommendations for compensation adjustments.
- Monitor and improve sales compensation programs that align with profitable growth objectives and reward sales professional for results.
- Become known as an employer of choice and an industry leading sales force that top sales people want to join.
- Define and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives.
- Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required.
- Ensure corporate sales strategies are being executed to support the success of the sales function.
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting.
- Compile information and data related to customer and prospect interactions.
- Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions.
- Work closely with the marketing function to establish successful support, channel and partner programs.
- Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities.
- Work closely with Vice President SBUs to define and execute product and service sales plans.
- Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners and to develop key relationships.
- Develop and/ or maintain relationships with key customers, suppliers, professional advisors, trade associations, and industry and government officials critical to the continued success of CBT.
- Perform other duties deemed appropriate by the President and/ or the Board, other key executives, professional advisors or shareholders.
Experience:
- 15 plus years in the industry or comparable business experience.
- Prior experience as a leader in a family business or comparable experience as a key executive in a $50.0 million plus revenue business
Education:
- College degree required; Masters degree optimal.
- Undergraduate or alternative education in business, financial and business matters.

Working Environment:
Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing, walking, lifting (overhead, waist level), bending, frequent near vision use for reading and computer use. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
