Job Description

The Logistics Commercial Development and sales Representative focuses on building and growing business opportunities within the logistics sector. This role involves a combination of sales, business development, and strategic partnership efforts to drive revenue and expand the company's market presence.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and potential clients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers to understand their logistics needs.
  • Create and deliver sales presentations and proposals tailored to client requirements.
  • Develop strategies to grow the company's commercial footprint in logistics services.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, finance, etc.) to ensure service offerings meet client expectations.
  • Negotiate contracts and service agreements with customers to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Analyze market data to determine the best ways to position and sell logistics solutions.
  • Work with operations and product development teams to tailor logistics services based on market demands.
  • Suggest improvements to logistics services to meet client needs better or improve efficiency.
  • Maintain sales records, forecasts, and reports to track performance against sales targets.
  • Regularly update management on sales efforts and progress.

Required Skills:

  • Strong ability to close deals and understand the sales lifecycle in the logistics industry.
  • Deep understanding of logistics services, such as transportation, warehousing, freight forwarding, and supply chain management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, partners, and internal teams.
  • Ability to assess market conditions, evaluate business opportunities, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Ability to solve customer logistics challenges and offer creative solutions.

KPI's:

  • Revenue growth from new client acquisition.
  • Retention and expansion of existing client relationships.
  • Market share growth in targeted regions or service lines.
  • Profit margins on commercial contracts.
