Summary/Objective:
The Warehouse Layer Pick will be responsible for accurately selecting and picking product layers within the Vertique system. This role requires high attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment to ensure orders are picked and placed onto the Vertique system in a timely manner.
Warehouse Layer Pick Responsibilities:
- Use the layer picker to accurately pick and organize product layers for order fulfillment, ensuring products are picked according to customer requirements.
- Place finished product onto the Vertique system accurately to ensure the correct pallets move through the system.
- Track and maintain accurate product counts, ensuring inventory levels are updated within the Vertique system.
- Perform visual inspections to ensure picked layers meet company quality standards and are free of defects or damage.
- Double-check orders before placing onto the system to ensure accuracy, including the right quantities and correct products.
- Coordinate with other warehouse staff to ensure timely and efficient workflow
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE while operating equipment or working in the warehouse environment.
- Keep the picking area clean, organized, and free from hazards to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling tools as required.
Warehouse Layer Pick Qualifications:
- Valid Drivers License.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, with a focus on order picking or material handling, is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in order picking.
- Ability to operate and navigate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to quickly identify and address issues related to system performance, workflow, and quality control.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members, management, and external partners.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, typically up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Comfort working in varying warehouse conditions (e.g., temperature variations, noise).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if necessary.
