Job Summary
The Assistant Superintendent plays a crucial role in supporting the overall management and execution of construction projects. This position is responsible for assisting the Superintendent in overseeing daily operations on the construction site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety regulations. Duties
- Assist in the planning and scheduling of project activities to ensure timely completion.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and laborers on-site to maintain productivity.
- Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and Prolog for project documentation and reporting.
- Conduct regular inspections of the construction site to assess progress and quality of work.
- Manage project budgets by tracking expenses and ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
- Utilize tools such as an Ohmmeter for electrical testing and troubleshooting as needed.
- Collaborate with project managers to review contracts and ensure all terms are met.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management or a related field.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety practices on construction sites.
- Proficiency in project scheduling techniques and tools.
- Experience using construction management software (e.g., ProCore, Prolog).
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead teams effectively.
