Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. Duties
- Operate the cash register and process customer transactions efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product selections.
- Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate cash handling and change giving.
- Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels as needed.
- Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products or services.
- Conduct product demonstrations when applicable to enhance customer experience.
- Maintain cleanliness of the checkout area and ensure it is well-organized.
- Assist in training new cashiers on POS systems and customer service protocols.
Requirements
- Strong basic math skills with an understanding of retail math concepts.
- Experience operating a cash register or POS system preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
