CC Young, a vibrant senior living community and a non-profit leader in senior living and Health Care, is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant Manager for Long Term Care to assist in overseeing and managing the activities program for residents. This role ensures that activities are planned and executed to enhance the quality of life for all residents, adhering to regulatory requirements, and ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and on time. The Assistant Manager will also supervise the Activity Assistants and coordinate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless operations.
Shift: Monday through Friday 8:30a.m.- 5:00p.m.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Support the Manager of Life Enrichment with managerial and supervisory duties in Long Term Care and Rehabilitation.
- Ensure that all residents' needs and preferences are met by providing individualized and group activities that support their well-being and quality of life.
- Plan and execute engaging activities for both Long-Term Care and Rehabilitation residents, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Oversee the planning and implementation of activities in both Long-Term Care and Rehabilitation, ensuring all regulatory guidelines are adhered to.
- Hire and coordinate entertainment and other external vendors for activities in Long- Term Care and Rehabilitation.
- Monitor and manage department purchases and vendor services to stay within the allocated budget.
- Facilitate and coordinate Resident Council meetings, ensuring residents' voices and feedback are represented.
- Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with state regulations.
- Lead weekly care plan meetings with resident families and staff.
- Attend daily morning meetings with nursing teams.
- Complete necessary paperwork for new residents, including photos, MDS, and Assessments for both Long -Term Care and Rehabilitation.
- Conduct quarterly and yearly assessments for Long-Term Care residents.
- Maintain daily participation and one-on-one visit documentation.
- Act as the liaison between Life Enrichment and healthcare departments ensuring effective communication and coordination.
- Oversee daily duties and responsibilities of Activity Assistants.
- Provide guidance and support with activity planning, ensuring all staff are well-prepared to execute activities.
- Communicate new admits each morning to staff for activity preparation and planning.
- Performs others duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications include:
- Two years of activity planning experience, preferably with seniors.
- Activity Director Certified is preferred but not required.
- Proven experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings, with knowledge of regulatory requirements for life enrichment activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and supervise a team effectively.
- Experience with budget management and vendor coordination.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
