What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Director of Residential Services position at CCAR?
The Assistant Director of Residential Services will aid in directing the daily operations of eight 24-Hour Community Integrated Living Arrangement homes that are located in Charleston. Each location is home to 2 - 6 adults with intellectual disabilities. This Assistant Director will work as part of a team to ensure that the homes are properly staffed, personnel are trained, and that department personnel are meeting the agency's performance expectations.
Schedule:
- 9 am to 6 pm on Monday through Friday
- Rotating, supervisory ("back-up") on-call responsibility including some holiday seasons
Overview of Responsibilities:
- Assist in the day to day operations, including assisting with the supervision of approximately 50 staff
- Track initial and ongoing staff training using our software
- Supporting case management and direct support staff, as needed, to assure the highest quality care for our residents
- Complete documentation in an accurate and timely manner
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, Social Work, Education, or a related field (Please feel free to contact us if you are unsure whether your degree will qualify.)
- A minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities
- A minimum of two years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity with proven leadership ability
- Valid driver's license
- Must pass a criminal background check, as required by the Healthcare Worker Background Check Act (225 ILCS 46), and a DCFS CANTS background check.
- Experience using software including Microsoft Office programs, such as Excel and Word
- Experience training and scheduling staff is preferred.
Earning Potential:
$50,960 per year
