Job Overview
The Assistant Planner Dispatcher is responsible for managing a fleet of trucks, trailers, and drivers to ensure optimal productivity, service levels as well as understanding and meeting the needs of our drivers and customers. This position also processes paperwork and assumes data entry duties.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinates scheduling of loads that are tendered by CCCI, while ensuring a high level of customer service to assigned drivers and establishing a good working relationship with each driver
- Answers phones and communicates professionally with assigned customer personnel on all levels while developing positive and solid relationships to enhance growth
- Ensures optimal driver, unit performance, while complying with FMCSA regulations
- Makes sure drivers are properly contacted and have accurate, timely information for pickup and delivery
- Monitor driver in-transit workflow, ensuring on-time delivery
- Communicates pick-up and delivery exceptions with Planner-Dispatcher, Driver Manager, Regional Hub Manager, and other facilities personnel that are affected
- Ensures driver’s bills of lading, trip sheets, and other appropriate documents match
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Will be required to be on an “on-call” rotation; Office environment; shift work 2100 to 0700 Sunday through Friday nights. Work three (3) on; rotate each week
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge acquired through up to 12 months of work experience
