The Children's Center for Communication and Beverly School for the Deaf (CCCBSD) is seeking a
highly qualified Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team!
Located in Beverly, Massachusetts, The Children’s Center for Communication and Beverly School for the
Deaf (CCCBSD) is a school for Deaf and Hearing children ages 3 to 22 with unique developmental,
physical, and communication needs.
We are seeking an experienced full-time speech-language pathologist to join our team of nine
professionals in support of the needs of our students. This position covers parental leave, July 2025 -
January 2026. The Speech-Language Pathologist has a primary responsibility for the comprehensive
instruction and delivery of coordinated communication services to enrolled students through individual
and/or small group direct service. Other duties include consultations with teachers, diagnostic testing in
speech-language for 3-year re-evaluations, quarterly reports, IEP development and meeting attendance,
and AAC trials and implementation of devices.The SLP department partners with a larger therapeutic and
clinical team including: physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, behavior analysts, educational
technology specialists, vocational professionals, and a curriculum team.
The CCC and BSD Programs provide comprehensive educational and therapeutic programming to
Deaf/HH and hearing students with and without special developmental challenges. Disability and student
needs range from mild and moderate to multiple disabilities. Students access instruction across a number
of modalities including: ASL (bi/bi), oral language, technology (voice output systems) and various AAC
systems. Professional development groups meet weekly to support the learning needs of students and the
instructional needs of faculty.
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required. Applicants must
have experience in the area of augmentative-alternative communication (AAC). Strong knowledge of and
experience using American Sign Language (ASL) is preferred, but not required. Interpreters are available
during school day and ASL classes are available.
Hourly rate ranges from: $49 - $62 commensurate with education and experience.
