Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a full-time Field Safety and Compliance Coordinator, we are looking for an experienced safety manager to join our company. In this role, you'll be responsible for creating and overseeing health and safety protocols for the company and ensuring that staff members are properly informed regarding emergency preparedness, use of protective equipment, and accident protocol. To ensure success as a safety manager, you should display exceptional knowledge of company safety policies and relevant occupational safety and health administration (OSHA) standards.
Position Responsibilities:
- Support all safety efforts on projects and promote CCCI’s Safety Culture.
- Assisting with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
- Assist and help maintain all safety related documentation for the projects.
- Make safety or health recommendations concerning situational hazards to associates and workers.
- Perform daily safety walks on the assigned projects ensuring that they are up to code and all employees are following CCCI safety standards.
- Assist in meeting clients and OSHA requirements as needed.
- Ensure all project teams have the appropriate safety equipment and resources that they need.
- Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations.
- Ensure all personnel wear their personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Monitor workplace conditions to identify hazards and ensure proper safety procedures.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, federal, and state regulations.
- Promote a culture of safety through ongoing education and best practices.
Education & Requirements:
- High School diploma/college credits or equivalent
- Willing to obtain BCSP Certifications
- 1-3 years of relevant safety experience in field settings
- Excellent communication skills and strong ability to develop relationships
- Working knowledge of construction safety principles, techniques and methods.
- Knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations and policies.
- Capable of identifying known potential exposures and recommending corrective actions.
- Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Suite.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle a varied and changing workload
- Proven ability to identify and solve problems
- Independent, self-managed, and self-starter personality
- OSHA 30 Certified and 1st Aid / CPR and AED Qualified
- Strong willingness to learn and grow in safety and compliance
- Bilingual highly preferred but not a must.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday with some weekend work
- Ability to commute/relocate: Leesburg, VA, reliably commute or planning to relate before starting work (required)
