Key Responsibilities:
- Support Lean 5S initiatives to achieve a workplace that is clean, uncluttered, safe, and well organized to help reduce waste and optimize productivity
- Attend and contribute to discourse during team meetings and leverage senior team members for knowledge and direction
- Collaborate cross functionally to ensure operational excellence
- Approve timecards biweekly in accordance with payroll’s instructions and uphold Valor’s attendance policy
- Conduct annual employee performance reviews and set goals for junior team members that support succession planning and continuous improvement
- Establish and carry out schedules for properly maintained equipment and facilities
- Ensure that equipment and facilities data is on file, and that OEM recommendations are carried out for all equipment.
- Prioritize and assign daily, weekly, and monthly tasks for maintenance team and seek assistance from management as needed to ensure coverage and continuity within the department
- Maintain records and reports on all repairs of equipment and facilities
- Develop, track, and report established metrics necessary to meet and maintain continuous improvement goals
- Control and monitor inventory of parts and equipment needed to successfully maintain equipment and respond quickly to downtime situations
- Remain cognizant of the status of work being performed by contractors, consultants, or outside vendors
- Establish and maintain OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) vendors and manage supply chain relationships
- Provide troubleshooting assistance to maintenance employees in all aspects of equipment and facilities repair
- Ensure good communication concerning scheduled and unscheduled repairs with all affected departments
- Manage and prioritize multiple on-going tasks while leveraging the strengths of your direct reports
- Demonstrate professionalism at all times
- Provide and record necessary skills and safety training for all maintenance technicians
- Read/interpret electrical schematics, one-line electrical drawings, technical manuals, and assembly instructions to execute related tasks safely
- Supervise the troubleshooting and repair electrical supply circuits and motors up to 480V 3 phase, including fuse/ breaker replacement, termination points and electrical switchgears, and step up/step down transformers
- Supervise the troubleshooting and repair electromechanical control circuits
- Supervise the troubleshooting and repair replacement of single phase, three phase and DC motors up to 480V
- Supervise the troubleshooting and repair of compressed air and hydraulic systems
- Proficiently utilize the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software)
- Execute tasks assigned to all maintenance personnel where skill or availability are lacking and remedy their deficits
- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder
- Must pass initial and subsequent background checks
- Must pass pre-employment and subsequent drug screenings
- Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language Intermediate level computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Five years of experience working at a defense manufacturing facility
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain eligibility to drive fleet
- Maintain Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives “Employee Possessor” eligibility
- Must be able to safely work in an environment containing devices that may interfere with the operation of a pacemaker
- Maintain the ability to don/doff and use a respirator
- Obtain confined space certification within 30 days of employment
- Maintain Valor’s internal certification for operating forklift/Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) with Aerial Platform
