General Description:
The Material Coordinator is responsible for coordinates the ordering and transfer of materials, parts and products between various supplies, shippers, warehouses, and end users. Ensures material inventory levels are sufficient. The Material Coordinator collects and analyses data on current orders, material levels, and forecast to estimate future demand.

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

- Ensure a safe work environment.
- Manage the procurement and delivery of all materials ordered on the behalf of assigned clients.
- Maintain accurate inventory, both physical and electronic, of all materials for assigned clients.
- Establish and maintain an environment that fosters safety and a “customer service” attitude.
- Proficient in MS Excel/Access.
- Develop Purchase Orders and Material Transactions.
- Coordinates, tracks, and statuses all materials until closure (receipt).
- Serves as SPOC to vendors/suppliers for obtaining signatures from Foreman for material purchased on AFEs.
- Create material masters as needed.
- Coordinate efforts of Expediters in the transportation of all materials and personnel.
- Maintain a safe, clean worksite, contributes to the housekeeping needs of shops and worksites.
- Assists with daily procurement operations, including issuing purchase orders, coordinate shipping of orders and provide status updates for current orders.
- Responsible for all other general office and administrative duties and supporting management and staff with additional support as requested.
- Assist in loading and unloading of material and equipment for mobilization. Knowledge of load securement practices.
- Knows, understands, and consistently follows the HSE policies and procedures that apply to their work.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to consider safety in all decisions.
- Ability to recognize when non-standard or non-routine conditions exist at the facility, notify supervisory staff, and offer recommendations for solutions to the problem.
- Knowledgeable of the contents of the ASH handbook, company policies, and pertinent standard operating procedures.
- Skilled Basic mathematic and mechanical skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and other team members.
- Skilled in basic or advanced computer programs.

- Position may involve exposure to extremely hostile weather conditions at times while working outdoors.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
- This position may involve working with potentially hazardous materials and waste.

Requirements:Required Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability, and skill to handle the duties and responsibilities of the position is required.
- 49 CFR Trained/Certified and IACO/IATA Certified for Hazardous is required.
- Prior warehouse experience is required.
- Completed NSTC unescorted course and has valid NSTC card. (Slope Positions Required)
- Class B CDL with HazMat endorsement is helpful.
- Valid driver's license is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Automotive certifications are preferred.
Previous welding experience is preferred
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. A pre-hire post offer Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to determine an employee's ability to perform to the job standard. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- MOBILITY: Must be able to access all controls and all parts of machinery for service. Must be able to push/pull 50 pounds for 20 feet. Shoveling up to 20 lbs. Frequent walking and standing. Occasional keyboard use, sitting, bending, twisting, and reaching.
- HEARING: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms.
- VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and take hand signals from ground man or flag man.
- LIFTING: Must be able to routinely lift up to 70 pounds from floor to waist, 50 pounds from waist level to shoulder height and carry 70 pounds for 20 feet.
- RANGE OF MOTION: An objective range of motion measurement will be conducted and recorded using a five position and rapid exchange grip strength test during the pre-hire/post offer FCE.
