Job Summary
The Nurse Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing the clinic's nursing staff and Medical Assistants and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This position requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to manage a team effectively. The Nurse Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating nursing/clinical activities, implementing policies, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations while fostering a supportive environment for both staff and patients.
Duties
- Supervise Back Office staff and IV therapy staff (RNs, LVNs, MAs) to ensure adherence to best practices in patient care.
- Monitor Back Office staff and IV therapy staff's daily duties ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and timely.
- Oversee medication administration protocols.
- Ensure accurate coding and documentation for patient records.
- Implement IV infusion protocols and procedures when necessary.
- Start IVs as needed
- Administer IV pushes, medications, and injections as ordered
- Collaborate with providers to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
- Train and mentor nursing staff/medical assistants on clinical skills and compliance with health regulations.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as required based on individual needs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant state medical laws.
- Ensure a safe work environment by complying with all local, state and federal health and safety regulations and laws.
- Ensure compliance with office and company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned or necessary to support the office/company.
Qualifications
- Current Texas RN or LVN license
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with relevant experience in a supervisory role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, coding, and quality assurance practices.
- Proficiency in diagnostic evaluation techniques and medication administration.
- Experience in functional medicine preferred
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards in nursing practice.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
