Capital Project Document Controller
Location: Energy Corridor, Houston, TX
We are seeking an experienced Capital Project Document Controller for a role in the chemical industry. The position involves managing and organizing project documents to ensure accuracy, integrity, and accessibility, supporting project timelines, and facilitating effective communication among stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Document Management: Establish and maintain a document control system, including numbering, version control, and distribution. Review document packages for completeness and ensure timely distribution and posting.
- Process Implementation: Develop and enforce standardized document control procedures for consistency and compliance.
- Access and Archiving: Maintain an organized document repository and ensure proper archiving and retention.
- Collaboration: Facilitate communication among project team members, vendors, and contractors for timely access to documentation.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits and quality checks on project documents for compliance and accuracy.
- Training and Support: Provide training on document control procedures and support team adherence to best practices.
- Compliance: Ensure all document control activities meet project standards, industry practices, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Document Controller in the chemical or capital project industries.
- Knowledge of document control principles and experience with relevant software (e.g., ProjectWise, Coreworx).
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
