Job Summary:
A Production Operator at CCL Label plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production machinery. This professional is responsible for operating their assigned equipment, maintaining its optimal performance, and carrying out routine maintenance tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This position involves running various converting equipment, including slitters, laminators, rotary die cutters, flatbed die cutters, rewind tables, and inspecting labels for defects. The operator must perform all required quality checks, package labels for shipment, complete necessary paperwork, and use QAD to issue/receive product to work orders and print core/box labels.
Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, one must possess a high level of attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to process products within quality and productivity standards. Prior production/manufacturing experience is preferred, as is experience with slitting/laminating, rotary die cutting, and flat bed die cutting. A strong mechanical aptitude, organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities are also essential.
Educational Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
The job requires prolonged periods of standing at a machine and occasional lifting of up to 35 pounds.
