Job Summary & Requirements
Supervisory Responsibility :
- No direct reports but will be overseeing / directing some aspects of Quality Technician employees' day to day tasks.
Duties / Responsibilities :
Monitor ISO 9001 : 2015 certification requirements to ensure business compliance.Documenting and maintaining SOPs of business operations, schedule and perform internal audits.Manage other customer requested compliance requirements as requested.Determine and review critical-to-quality characteristics of our raw materials and work with suppliers to specify and report on these parameters.Provide support in the form of testing and evaluating of raw materials, competitor's products, and internal production to benchmark and / or determine acceptability.Responsible for the initiation, review, and maintenance of Certificates of Analysis (C of A).Prepare quality plans, quality inspection checklists, work instructions, quality alerts, etc.Working along with shift supervisors to ensure all the production employees are following the SOPs, filling out the necessary paperwork, and doing their quality checks.Identify non-conformances, contain the suspected products quickly and work towards disposition of materials on quality hold.Initiate problem-solving by identifying the root causes and implementing corrective actions on non-conformances identified. This will require fact finding, data collection, effective communication, etc.Track and trend quality data from inspection records, customer complaints database, scrap and waste reports, and corrective actions. Identify trends and act to mitigate.Review supplier certificates of compliance for incoming raw materials. Act on findings.Maintain test laboratory (5S) and testing equipment.Creates procedures and work instructions based on equipment manufacturer's recommendations.Act as Calibration Technician.Trains employees in quality laboratory and documents training results.Provide support to Product Development and Engineering on an as-needed basis.Performs other related duties as assigned.Competencies :

Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university; or two years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.At least five years of quality assurance experience in a manufacturing facility.ISO Quality Management System (QMS).ISO Internal Auditor.Instrument calibration.Six Sigma and / or Lean Manufacturing / 5S.Physical Requirements :
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.Starting salary range : $60,000 - 80,000, actual compensation will be based on experience.

Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
