POSITION: Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)
DEPARTMENT: Emergency Medical Services
HOURS: Casual
WAGE RANGE: $17.06 - $22.55
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The fundamental responsibility of the EMR is to conserve life, to alleviate suffering, to promote health, to do no harm and to encourage the quality and equal availability of emergency medical care. The EMR is qualified in pre-hospital emergency care and services by a competency-based education program. The standard of practice of the EMR shall be in accordance with the most current expectation of "Emergency Medical Responder" by the Minnesota EMSRB.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- High School diploma
- Possess a valid Driver's License
- Current Minnesota EMR (Emergency Medical Responder) Certification
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Driving record in compliance with policy regarding insurability
- Some advanced education preferred
SKILL(S):
Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
EXPERIENCE:
Healthcare work experience preferred.
