DEPARTMENT: Hospital Nursing Administration
HOURS: 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)/EXEMPT
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The OB/Maternity Manager oversees direct and indirect nursing care in perinatal services, ensuring high-quality patient care and staff development. Serves as a patient advocate and leader, supervising care delivery, staff performance, and competency validation. Develops and implements educational programs and participates in strategic planning to align department goals with CCM Health’s mission and vision.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred. Specialty certification in OB specific area preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills required to effectively direct, guide, and instruct nursing personnel.
- Advanced problem-solving abilities, including cost-benefit analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Consistently applies AIDET principles (Acknowledge, Introduce, duration, Explanation, and Thank You) in all communications.
- Expertise in negotiation, instruction, supervision, persuasion, and influence.
- Proficient in data analysis, evaluation, integration, compilation, and comparison.
- Experienced in developing policies and procedures.
- Skilled in active listening, conflict resolution, and team building.
- Strong abilities in planning, organizing, delegating, and effectively communicating departmental goals and work plans in alignment with CCM Health's mission.
- Adaptability to manage daily challenges in a rural setting.
- Proven effectiveness in presentations, written communication, and computer proficiency.
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize and organize workload efficiently.
This position requires the ability to identify age related differences within the persons served and the adjustment of treatment style and expectations as appropriate, including adjustments based on the person's served cognitive function and learning ability. This will include taking into account their religious and cultural needs and preferences.
EXPERIENCE:
Four or more years of experience in area of expertise. Minimum of four years nursing leadership experience.

Salary : $54 - $69
