DEPARTMENT: Nursing Service
HOURS: 0.8-0.9 FTE (64-72 hours per pay period)/Non-Exempt
WAGE RANGE: $47.55 - $60.09
General Responsibilities
Responsibilities include designing educational programs and curricula, providing training to aspiring nurses or licensed staff, and evaluating research to continuously improve clinical practice. Serving as a member of the Nursing Leadership Team and ensures safe and effective care is being delivered to the patients of CCM Health.

Education/Training
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent work experience required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Must possess current valid license as a registered nurse in the state of Minnesota.
- Nurse educator certification preferred (CNE).
- Must possess valid basic life support (BLS) certification; ACLS/NRP/TNCC are preferred or obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Must hold or be willing to obtain instructor status in: BLS, ACLS, and NRP within first year of hire.
- 2-5 years of experience working as a registered nurse in a clinical setting.
- Previous experience in a teaching setting preferred.
- Previous experience with Noelle simulation manikin or similar preferred.
- Interpersonal skills necessary in order to direct, guide and instruct nursing personnel and students.
- Utilizes AIDET when communicating with others (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, and Thank You.)
- Strong oral and written communication skills in order to address external and internal customers and staff, including senior management and various other individuals.
- Expertise in negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading and influencing people.
- Adept in active listening, conflict management and team building skills.
- Proficient in planning, organizing, delegating and communicating departmental goals and work plans as they relate to the overall mission at CCM Health.
- Strong clinical skills and mentoring abilities.
- Capacity to manage daily challenges in a rural health care setting.
- Demonstrated effective presentation skills, written communication and computer skills.
- Ability to delegate appropriately and effectively.
