HOURS : 0.75 FTE / Non-Exempt (60 hours per pay period)
Rotating day / night shift as well as rotating weekends and holidays

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
Under the direction of licensed Nursing staff, demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the Nursing Assistant role in the team delivery of patient care as defined by the MN Board of Nursing and reinforced in CCM Health policies. Under the direction of licensed Nursing staff, assists in providing activities of daily living and comfort measures according to a written plan of care for assigned patients. Assists with patient care activities / services of a technical nature and assists with daily unit activities and order.
The Unit Secretary is responsible for the coordination of communications, processing orders for new admissions, outpatients and observation bed patients including transcribing orders, assembling patients' charts and ordering tests and other necessities. Responsible for assisting the professional nurse with the clerical duties as well as answering all incoming calls and directing them to the proper location. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, the public, coworkers and others.
EDUCATION / TRAINING :
- Completion of recognized Nursing Assistant course.
- Current unrestricted Minnesota Nursing Assistant Certificate is required.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
