POSITION: Phlebotomist
DEPARTMENT: Laboratory
HOURS: 80 hours per pay period/ Non-Exempt
SHIFTS: Evening/Night shift including rotating weekends & holidays
UNION: Yes
UNION NAME: Local 113
WAGE RANGE: $18.75 - $27.98
General Responsibilities
Perform routine blood collections, perform EKG’s, process specimens, become DOT and Non-DOT collections certified and serve as the Laboratory Information System Operator. Assist with any additional clerical work as needed and help maintain the overall safety and cleanliness of the laboratory.
Education/Training
Graduate of a certified phlebotomy program or medical program, a graduate of a certified Medical Assistant program, or an individual with either a high school diploma or equivalent with documentation of previous phlebotomy training and experience.
Skill(s)
Must have good communication skills with a pleasant personality and attitude. Will need to be capable and comfortable working directly with patients and/or their families. Typing and computer knowledge and skills are desirable but not required.

Experience preferred but not required.
