POSITION: Specialty Clinic RN

DEPARTMENT: Clinic

HOURS: 72 hours per pay period/Non-Exempt

HOURLY WAGE RANGE: $39.13 - $50.31

General Responsibilities

The Specialty Clinic RN is responsible for providing high-quality patient care through a variety of clinic and administrative duties. This role includes rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, reviewing medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations and procedures. The RN will provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and pre-/post-procedure care, ensuring clear communication and understanding. Additionally, the RN will coordinate patient care by facilitating referrals, scheduling follow-ups, and collaborating with providers and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. The RN will also assist/perform with clinical procedures such as catheterizations, colposcopies, outpatient biopsies, and joint injections within the scope of practice. This position requires strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide compassionate care to patients in OB/GYN, Urology, and Orthopedic specialties.

Assess patients calling with acute medical needs and assist in obtaining an appointment or provide and document approved advice. Effective communication with provider/nurse teams. Assist in the approved medication refill process per practice protocol. Assist providers with patient care as needed.

Education/Training

Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing. Must have a and maintain a current Minnesota Registered Nurse license and CPR certification.

Experience

• Previous experience in clinic team-based care, i.e. Patient-Centered Medical Home/Health Care Home model preferred.
• Previous experience with clinical outpatient procedures associated with OB/GYN, Urology, and Orthopedics preferred.
• BSN preferred.
