GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Sterile Processing Aide is responsible for cleaning, decontamination, sterilization, assembly, and distribution of surgical instruments, trays, and equipment to support surgical operations. The aide ensures compliance with infection control standards and provides critical support to the surgical team, contributing to safe and efficient patient care. CCM Health offers on-the-job training to candidates who are eager to learn and grow in this essential role.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certification in Sterile Processing (e.g./CRCST, CBSPD) preferred or willingness to obtain certification within one year of employment at CCM Health.
- Highly attentive to detail and meticulous in performing duties.
Experience:
- No prior experience is necessary; CCM Health provides on-the-job training for qualified candidates.
- Experience in sterile processing or surgical setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with surgical instruments and equipment is beneficial but can be acquired through training.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrates a commitment to service, organization values, and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor always.
- Maintains confidentiality and always protects sensitive data.
- Comprehensive knowledge of sterilization techniques, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in managing and improving sterilization practices.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide guidance and training to staff across various departments.
