The activity coordinator is responsible for assessing and supporting patients and families by providing essential life experiences in the health care system. The Activity Coordinator collaborates with the Child Life Specialists and with other health care providers, as well as the community, to promote growth and development and facilitate positive adjustment for patients and families throughout the healthcare experience. As a child life staff member, the activity coordinator demonstrates a commitment to the values of Cook Children’s Health Care System, integrating them into each job function.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Child Development, or a related field.
Minimum one year direct care experience in child care setting.
American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS is required within 60 days of hire.
