Location: Medical Center - Fort Worth Department: Surgery-Administration Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 40 Summary: The Nurse Director has the ability to articulate a compelling, actionable vision for the units/departments of responsibility. Facilitates teamwork and unit pride by advocating for an environment that promotes high patient care standards and implements strategies to ensure physician satisfaction. The Director has the authority, accountability, and responsibility for the management of patient care within their respective areas. The Director will oversee nursing/staff practice, personnel management, and overall staff development. The Director will assume the responsibility for all aspects of business conducted in their areas of responsibility and thoroughly understand and monitor financial performance of the units/departments. Will conduct self with a team-orientation, professionalism, and demonstrate appropriate decision-making abilities based on evidenced based practice. Demonstrates sound clinical judgment in their area of clinical practice. Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing required. Master's degree in nursing, Health Care Administration or Business required. A minimum of five years nursing experience, which includes a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience and 2 years of management experience. Certification/Licensure: Current permit or license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas Current BLS and membership in professional nursing organizations encouraged.
