We are seeking a dedicated attendant for the general store located on its farm. The attendant ensures a positive store experience while performing an array of vital functions that include produce handling, merchandising, stocking, organizing and most importantly, providing excellent customer service to residents and guests.

In addition to overseeing production, we also maintain a Garden and General Store for residents.

What You’ll Accomplish

  • Assisting and supporting the Farm Director in running the farm store successfully
  • Working outside, getting dirty and supporting farm production (harvesting, washing, packing, etc.)
  • Handling produce, stocking shelves, and maintaining attractive displays
  • Completing store opening and closing procedures (unlock/lock doors, put produce on display/back into cooler, check produce quality, turn on/off TV and music, spot clean, etc.)
  • Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the store and its surroundings
  • Greeting customers in a friendly, professional manner and offering assistance
  • Operating register with accurate cash handling control
  • Providing tours of the General Store and the Farm
  • Highlighting products and sharing vision for how the farm embodies a healthy, active lifestyle
  • Cleaning and restocking shelves as needed to ensure optimum availability of products in an attractive display
  • Assisting HOA team with workshops/events as needed
  • Keep track of the number of residents and prospects that visit the farm and barn
  • Highlight products and share vision for how the farm embodies a healthy, active lifestyle
  • Reconcile and report customer issues and concerns to Management
  • Complete assigned tasks, phone calls and research to assist Farm Director

What We’re Looking For

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior produce or retail experience a plus, but not required
  • Excellent work ethic and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and attention to details
  • Enthusiasm for local and sustainable agriculture is a plus
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Accomplishes tasks with a great attitude
  • Timely and dependable
  • Able to use retail technology
  • Proactively seeks product knowledge to provide customers with information and to identify selling/marketing opportunities
  • A problem solver with a focus on continuous improvement, who is always learning, open to feedback and takes action as required
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

If driving is, or becomes, a requirement of the role, it is required, at all times, that you hold a valid state driver’s license for the class of vehicle you are driving, maintain a clean motor vehicle report, and hold current automobile insurance at statutory limits. You must notify People Operations immediately regarding any change to your motor vehicle standing. CCMC may periodically review motor vehicle reports to ensure compliance with these requirements.

Important To Know

Qualified candidates must be able to work during farm store hours, including 30 minutes before and after for opening and closing routines (Sunday 11:30-5:30pm, Wednesday 12:30-7:30pm, Friday 8:00-5:30pm, Saturday 11:30-6:30). Hours are subject to change.

The physical requirements can vary, but generally, they may include:

  • Mobility: Ability to walk the grounds long distances in various weather conditions.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Occasionally lifting and carrying supplies or equipment up to 25 pounds.
  • Extended Sitting or Standing: Capability to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings or events.
  • Manual Dexterity: Skills in using technology, including computers and mobile devices.
  • Driving: Ability to operate vehicle to perform certain job functions. (Please note: We will request and review an MVR at the time of hire and on a periodic basis thereafter to ensure that employees maintain a satisfactory driving status.)
