What you’ll accomplish :
The Music and Arts Director will be responsible for creating, curating, and managing a diverse and inclusive arts and entertainment program that serves the community. This role requires an innovative leader with a strong educational background in music or arts and significant experience collaborating with diverse professionals in the music and arts industry. The Director will develop a variety of cultural and artistic experiences, from weekly performances to large-scale events, and will focus on promoting local talent and multicultural engagement within the community.
Responsibilities :
- Program Development & Management
Design, implement, and oversee weekly, monthly, and seasonal entertainment programs, including music performances, art exhibitions, workshops, and cultural festivals that reflect the diversity of the community.
Engage with local artists, educators, community members, and organizations to foster a vibrant and inclusive arts community.
Manage the department’s budget, ensuring cost-effective, high-quality programming.
Develop and execute programs that celebrate and respect cultural diversity, with inclusive events featuring various musical genres, artistic styles, and global perspectives.
Develop and implement educational programs in collaboration with local schools, targeting children, teens, and adults, to foster an appreciation for music, dance, theater, and visual arts.
What we’re looking for :
Bachelor’s degree in music, Arts Administration, Performing Arts, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in arts or entertainment program management, preferably within a community-focused or nonprofit setting.
Strong leadership and organizational skills with experience managing multiple events and projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications :
If driving is, or becomes, a requirement of the role, it is required, at all times, that you hold a valid state driver’s license for the class of vehicle you are driving, maintain a clean motor vehicle report, and hold current automobile insurance at statutory limits. You must notify People Operations immediately regarding any change to your motor vehicle standing. CCMC may periodically review motor vehicle reports to ensure compliance with these requirements.
