Location: Lisle, ILWork Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PMSalary: $38,000–$42,500 per yearSchedule: In Office daily for Initial Training (up to 6 months), then Hybrid (2 days in office per week)

What You’ll Do:

As a Medical Only Workers’ Compensation Claim Representative, you’ll play a key role in managing medical-only claims across Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin jurisdictions. This position is perfect for individuals with strong organizational skills, a passion for learning, and a desire to grow within a company that invests in its employees.

 

This position will require: 

  • Completing required coursework, studying, and passing an exam to obtain an adjuster’s license.

  • Successfully passing a background check as part of the licensing process.

Responsibilities

Your Day-to-Day Includes:

  • Managing medical-only workers’ compensation claims in compliance with company standards and applicable laws.

  • Establishing and recommending reserves under supervision.

  • Approving or negotiating medical invoices and monitoring ongoing treatment.

  • Summarizing medical records and correspondence in claim logs.

  • Assisting with claim file setup, documentation, and closure.

  • Providing clerical and technical support to the claims team.

  • Complying with corporate claim standards and special client handling instructions.

  • Maintaining high performance standards, measured through audits.

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Table:

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Excellent prioritization, multitasking, and decision-making skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

🌟 Nice-to-Have Skills/Experience:

  • Familiarity with medical terminology.

  • Prior claims handling or insurance experience.

  • Adjuster’s license preferred or the ability to obtain one.
