Litigation Representative - PD/BI Claims
Location: Scottsdale, AZSchedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (Hybrid after an initial in-office training period, with in-office presence required one mandatory day per week, plus additional days for meetings or training as needed)Salary Range: $70,000 – $80,000

About the Role:
CCMSI is seeking a Litigation Representative to manage litigated property damage claims, including Small Claims Court matters and moderate bodily injury claims. This position supports a dedicated client account, providing focused and consistent service. Reporting to the Litigation Manager, this role requires a proactive approach to claim resolution, litigation strategy development, and collaboration with internal teams and defense counsel.
Responsibilities
Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve claims against the client.
Consult with and assist local divisions/General Managers on Small Claims Court matters where defense counsel is not involved.
Manage litigation, oversee legal cost control, and collaborate with defense counsel on litigation strategies.
Maintain organized and well-documented claim files using independent judgment and expertise.
Establish and maintain timely and appropriate loss reserves and legal budgets.
Approve settlements and reserve changes within authority limits; escalate recommendations as needed.
Participate in monthly claim reviews, meetings, and conference calls with clients and/or defense counsel.
Ensure timely and accurate issuance of claim settlements and obtain proper closing documentation.
Ensure compliance with all state, legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements, as well as company and client policies.
Attend mediations, arbitrations, or settlement conferences as required.
Maintain active adjuster licensing, including completing continuing education requirements.
Qualifications
Required:
5 years of experience as a Multi-Line Claims Adjuster.
Experience handling litigated files, including moderate bodily injury claims.
Ability to obtain an Arizona Adjuster’s License within 60 days of hire (licensing exam and state background screening required).
Preferred:
Arizona Adjuster’s License highly preferred at the time of hire.
Experience handling claims in Small Claims Court.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
