Position: Workers' Compensation Claim Associate I LevelUP – Overland Park, KS

Location: Overland Park, KSCompensation: $20.51/hrHours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pmTraining Program Duration: Up to 6 months in-office, with a transition to a hybrid schedule (Hybrid schedules are performance-based).

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

• Investigate & Adjust Claims: Work closely with a supportive team to handle medical-only claims, non-litigated indemnity cases, and contested claims under direct supervision.
• Establish Reserves: Learn the ropes of establishing reserves and providing recommendations within authority levels.
• Client & Team Communication: Coordinate with clients, claimants, and internal teams to ensure a smooth claims process.
• Manage Documentation: Summarize medical records, communicate via written and verbal reports, and ensure all files are accurate and compliant.

Qualifications

Skills & Experience We Value:

• Medical Terminology Knowledge: While not required, familiarity with medical terms will be a great asset!
• Previous Insurance or Claims Experience: If you have prior experience in the insurance industry or claims, that’s fantastic, but it’s not a must. We’re eager to train the right candidate!
• Strong Communication Skills: Clear and professional communication, both written and oral, is key to success.
• Critical Thinking & Organization: We need someone who is proactive, organized, and able to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Team Player: Collaborate with fellow team members while also working independently when needed.
• Commitment to Learn & Grow: This is a career path – we want you to succeed and advance!
• Highschool Diploma or equivilant is required.

After successfully completing the LevelUP phases, you’ll be considered for promotion to a Claim Associate II and then a Claim Representative I role.
