Your responsibilities will include investigating, evaluating, and adjusting claims while delivering exceptional service to our clients. - Investigate, evaluate, and adjust workers' compensation claims per corporate standards and state laws.
- Establish and recommend reserves within authority levels.
- Review and approve medical, legal, and damage-related invoices.
- Negotiate settlements in line with client-specific instructions and state regulations.
- Maintain a personal diary of claim activity and prepare detailed status reports.
- Compute disability rates and ensure compliance with jurisdictional laws.
- Communicate effectively with clients, claimants, and vendors throughout the process.
- Participate in claim reviews, training sessions, mediations, or hearings as needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong writing, math, and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient phone skills and attention to detail.
- 5 years of prior workers' compensation claims experience is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Nice to Have:
- Experience with local travel for claim reviews.
- Familiarity with school district, transportation, or casino industries.
