Overview
Workers' Compensation Claim Consultant
Location: Las Vegas, NV (Hybrid)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (Hybrid after training period)
Salary Range: $65,000–$75,000
A Workers' Compensation Claim Consultant investigates, evaluates, and adjusts claims based on established standards, laws, and corporate guidelines. They establish and recommend reserves, review medical and legal invoices, and negotiate disputed bills. The consultant authorizes claim payments and negotiates settlements within state laws and company standards. They coordinate with outside vendors for specialized services, monitor subrogation claims, and maintain an organized diary on claim systems. The consultant prepares reports, handles complex claims, and communicates with clients and claimants effectively. They also participate in legal proceedings, provide training, and ensure compliance with all relevant standards.

Responsibilities
- Investigate, evaluate, and adjust workers' compensation claims per corporate standards and state laws.
- Establish and recommend reserves within authority levels.
- Review and approve medical, legal, and damage-related invoices.
- Negotiate settlements in line with client-specific instructions and state regulations.
- Maintain a personal diary of claim activity and prepare detailed status reports.
- Compute disability rates and ensure compliance with jurisdictional laws.
- Communicate effectively with clients, claimants, and vendors throughout the process.
- Participate in claim reviews, training sessions, mediations, or hearings as needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong writing, math, and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient phone skills and attention to detail.
- 5 years of prior workers' compensation claims experience is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with local travel for claim reviews.
- Familiarity with Municipalities and other accounts.
